Almost everyone infected with hepatitis A recover only few die due to fulminant hepatitis. WHO estimates that hepatitis A caused approximately 7 134 deaths in 2016 (accounting for 0.5% of the mortality due to viral hepatitis).

Causes/ Taransmission
Ingestion of infected substances  like food, drinks or fecal mater. A person can also be infected by direct contact with infected person.
The spread is associated with poor sanitary hygiene and outbreaks ( though is rare) can occur in communities with low income and poor sanitary habits. Other ways people get infected include;
person who inject drugs and men have sex with men.

Symptoms
Fever
Malaise,
Loss of appetite, 
Diarrhea, nausea
Abdominal discomfort, 
Dark-coloured urine and jaundice (a yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes). 
Not everyone who is infected will have all of the symptoms. And the symptoms are more severe in adults and older children.

Prevention
Vaccination for children, men who have sex with men 
Good personal hygiene practices
Restrictions on use of recreational drugs
